Funeral for a Friend

So on Saturday I went to President Hinckley's funeral.

My friend Melissa had invited me Thursday or Friday and I wasn't sure if I really wanted to go. I haven't been to a funeral since my grandpa passed away when I was in 10th grade, so I couldn't really remember what they were like.

I'm not one for sad movies or sad things in general, and I will avoid them if I can. But I decided that this was a big opportunity and I should probably take it.

So I went and I am so happy I did. It was absolutely amazing. Gordon B. Hinckley was such an amazing man. I don't care what religion you are.

AND TO THINK THERE WERE PROTESTERS outside the conference center!!! What are you protesting? Death!? That just pissed me off. At least there was a guy right next to him who had a sign and like 15 red balloons that said "Love Everyone" and a peace sign. And he was pretty precious himself. Probably woulda married him had he asked. Just sayin.
